Funded Learning and Development Costs for Senior Managers of SMEs
The objective of the Leadership and Management Advisory Service (LMAS) is to help eligible employers fund development opportunities for their senior mnagers and leaders.
The LMAS currently operate with the following protocol:
Extent Of Funding
Up to £1000 match funding is available for eligible training and coaching initiatives. Funding does not include VAT. Examples:

Where applicable the company will also undertake all VAT payments.
NET cost of training and / or coaching £1000 = £500 Match Funding
Previous beneficiaries of this programme may be eligible for further support but must meet the eligibility criteria in the application form.
Eligibility Criteria
The following criteria cover who and what is funded:
- Private Sector Businesses or Social Enterprises
- Employing at least 2 full time equivalent employees and no more than 250 full time employees.
- Business Owners or Senior Leaders
- The recipient must be the MD, Owner or Chief Executive if your business employs fewer than ten people or someone reporting into this person if the company employs 10-249 people.
- Leadership and People Management Initiatives
- You can put your grant towards a wide range of activities to develop your leadership skills. For example, it could contribute towards the cost of a personal business coach, advice to prepare for assessment against the Investors in People standard or training to help you manage your employees.
Applications
LMAS service providers (below) cannot accept direct referrals from training suppliers for this funding. Application should be made by the beneficiary organisation.
Where training and / or coaching has been discussed with 80:20 Performance Solutions Ltd the client company may indicate this in their application.
