This brief article sets out one possible format for your CV and follows with some key points to consider when writing your CV. There is no one 'right way' of compiling your CV as it will potentially be viewed by lots of different people, all of whom may have their own different ideas about how it ought to be laid out.

 

Hopefully however you will agree that the aim is to present the information in a manner that makes it as easy as possible for a potential employer to recognise why they need to interview you. There are some general rules you can follow to ensure that you have the best chance of being invited to interview.

 

The next page is an outline format of a CV. In place of actual information we have indicated what you might like to consider writing and where. Hopefully this is easy to follow and serves as a usable template into which you can substitute relevant information about yourself.  Following this template, on the final page of this article, are some points to consider whilst compiling your CV.
