A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a logistics officer to join a leading global pharmaceutical company based in the Southeast. The successful candidate will provide support to the Supply Chain Management work stream in managing the forecasting, planning, scheduling, systems administration and coordination of key supply chain activities, ensuring timely provision of clinical supplies.
The responsibilities of this role are varied and will include: • Working closely with the Supply Chain Coordinator (SCC) to understand specific protocol designs and interact with Supply Chain work streams according the needs of the SCCs for various programs. • Maintaining and updating programs and protocol information into Protocol Tracking database, including cost estimates and financial tracking where appropriate. • Maintaining Drug Plans and monitoring supplies – including API tracking. • Tracking shipments via contact with the Materials Management group. • Utilising appropriate software and IT systems to effectively prepare standard documents and reports, including expiry date reports and shipping history. • Participating is systems audits and managing clinical complaints.
This is the ideal opportunity for an experienced logistics officer to take on new challenges and greater responsibilities whilst working for a leading pharmaceutical organisation. This post is also likely to appeal to candidates who already have significant experience but are seeking to work in a more dynamic environment.
This position is best suited to candidates with a minimum of at least three years experience in a logistics or supply chain role, and it is essential that candidates have extensive experience of working in a GMP environment. This opportunity is initially an 8 month contract which will be reviewed prior to completion. Whilst there are no guarantees of the role becoming permanent, there will be opportunity to apply for permanent positions elsewhere in the company. Our client is willing to offer the right candidate a competitive salary that will ultimately reflect qualifications, experience and performance at interview. In any event we anticipate offers to be made in the region of £25,000 - £35,000 pro rata.
