We have a great opportunity for a senior Analytical Chemist to join one of our clients in the SE Based pharmaceutical sector.

This role is a hands on analytical role but has additional elements of responsibility for supervising the work of more junior analysts and on occasion deputising for the Team Leader.

The Analytical Team focus on all aspects of analysis for the pharmaceutical sector including routine analysis and development work. The laboratory is equipped with state of the art instrumentation in HPLC and GC systems together with numerous spectroscopy instruments.

As a Senior member of the team there is an opportunity for the post holder to focus on more challenging non routine work such as troubleshooting and method optimisation.

This is a great opportunity for a good Analytical Chemist to move to the next level gaining new and different responsibilities. The environment is fast paced and challenging and will suit anyone serious about their career development.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to BSc level in an appropriate scientific discipline. Experience gained in industry within the pharmaceutical, or related, industries is essential. Routine use of HPLC is also essential, method optimisation and development experience will probably be an advantage, as will any previous supervisory experience.

The salary offered in this role will reflect performance at interview, experience and qualifications. In any event we anticipate an offer in the £20,00 to £26,000 range. The salary will come with additional benefits and a performance bonus.
